Great item to use for NOLAS when isolating for aligner attachments or brackets
We routinely apply these to the posterior part of the tongue guard where it would press against the soft tissues near the lower molars for the patient's comfort. Keeps a good appointment experience from going wrong.

A little bit of comfort goes a long way. It works for any type of x-ray sensor. I use it when a patient can't bite down because the sensor hurts their palate.
