Ecommerce Dental Manager of Vendor/Suppliers (Cary, Apex, Morrisville, Durham, Raleigh)

Who You are:

You are a highly-motivated, proven and proactive leader that has deep experience in the dental industry supply chain and ecommerce. You will direct and oversee all aspects of Net32's supplier relations and merchandising personnel, policies, objectives, and initiatives. You will own product category optimization, supplier performance, associated negotiations/terms and product promotions. You will be the voice of the suppliers as a Net32 customer, so we are best meeting their needs to be successful. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for strategic relationships with our current and potential suppliers and partners. Additionally, you will increase product category sales, negotiate with suppliers to improve product selections and react proactively to industry-related trends. You are a masterful communicator, an interpreter of complex data and have the ability to collaborate exceedingly well with other departments such as Marketing, Customer Service, Data and Finance.

You will be a key player in development and execution of the company’s highest objectives and will report to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities:

  Lead supplier and merchandising teams/activities and meet associated OKRs.

  Stay on top of industry movement and identify opportunities. Develop associated partnership strategies and lead execution.

  Improve profitability of current and newly added brands. Identify product availability gaps and close them via procurement efforts with existing or new suppliers.

  Optimize the performance and quality of dental Net32 suppliers. Develop, track and report on supplier SLAs.

  Deep understanding of financial levers and improve margins internally and externally.

  Operate as the ‘voice’ of the dental distributors and suppliers so Net32 is continuously serving their needs. Manage the flow of feedback from suppliers into development and associated prioritization, where applicable.

  Own product promotions and collaborate on marketing initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications:

  MBA, preferably in healthcare, management or commerce.

  8+ years leading the dental supplier/vendor lifecycle and merchandising activities. These activities include but are not limited to:

Determining and defining company product needs

Creating ethics/rules of engagement with suppliers

Supplier recruitment

Supplier selection

Contract definition and terms

Monitoring supplier relationship and performance (i.e. SLAs).

Pushing supplier related needs into development.

Product category optimization

Managing supplier relationship terminations

  Dental industry experience required

3+ years in dental industry (supplier, manufacturer, distributor, marketplace) as Director or above

Clinical experience a plus

  Ecommerce experience required

  Direct report management required

  Experience developing and meeting OKRs

  Proficient with MS suite

  Works well transforming ambiguity into results

  Ability to collaborate deeply with other departments and leadership teams

Experience: 8+ years with 3+ years of direct report leadership
