Love me my luxator... easiest thing to get a tooth moving. If your luxator can’t do it, just go straight to the hand piece because it means the tooth is ankylosed. This thing got me out of binds so many times. It’s my go to! Have been using this since Dental school... over 4 years ago, hasn’t let me down yet.

I love this instrument. It is great for teasing a root or root tip. Don't use it as a traditional elevator, however. It is not built for that kind of stress. Extra thin tip gets between the tooth structure and the bone in the PDL space. I've prevented hundreds of surgical situations with this instrument, and as a conservative minded dentist, that makes me and my patients happy.
