As a hygienist, I have dealt with A LOT of different prophy angles! Most are provided by the dentist who tends to try to keep overhead low and buys the cheapest thing they can find. Well I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by these prophy angles considering the price! The soft cup works well and allows me to put pressure to hug onto the tooth surface for better polishing. I also don't get as much splatter with these! Been using these for the past year and def will buy again!!!

It seems that the plastic gears of a lot of the prophy heads either are not aligned correctly or not manufactured correctly resulting in lots of noise and vibration and heat. The heat is enough to cause patient discomfort so I find myself having to take breaks to let it cool down, polished a lot slower and make sure the back of the prophy head is not in contact with patient's soft tissue. This all results in increased chair time and physical strain. For the ones that work it's great with none of these issues. I just find myself encountering more of the problem ones. I wouldn't buy this again. Net32 Response (10/30/25): We are sorry that the customer received prophy angles that did not meet expectations.
