Pour acrylic can be used for both full and partial dentures and other removable dental prosthetics and denture repairs. Heat cure acrylic is the most commonly used type of denture base material.
The base part of the denture can be made out of acrylics, porcelain, or partial metal. Acrylics are the most common option since they are the easiest to adjust and provide the most patient comfort. However, one major downside of acrylic dentures is that they won’t last as long as the other materials mentioned. Acrylic dentures that become cracked or broken are often fixed using acrylic denture repair materials, which are available in liquid and powder formats in our product offering.
Porcelain is another denture material option because it provides good strength and durability, but it costs more to make compared to acrylics. Some people opt for porcelain dentures because the material is translucent, making them look more natural and accurate.
The last option is partial metal dentures, which tend to be more comfortable than porcelain dentures because they’re typically smaller. With partial metal dentures, high-quality resin or composite teeth are used to create a natural and accurate appearance. But, partial metal dentures are more expensive since they take much longer to make.
