I have coworkers/peers who love this, but it fell short for me. The power button is too easy to accidentally press during use. This changes between pedal & no pedal, so that is frustrating when you expect it to turn off when you take your foot off the rheostat but it keeps going. It seems to work well as a pedal-free option, but the variable speed with foot pedal shifts between speeds instead if being smooth and fluid as you increase and decrease foot pressure. To get the highest speed, you have to depress straight down from the top of the pedal instead of just increasing pressure on the side as usual with pedals. When you want to just bump a little faster for extra stain or plaque and then ease off, the response time to the foot pressure change is just slow enough that it's annoying & I found myself pushing harder since it didn't respond very quickly and quite overshot the desired speed. It is more noisy than other cordless handpieces I use. I was excited to have the option for pedal or no pedal, but overall, just not happy with this unit. I'm hoping PacDent can smooth these things out and maybe release a 2.0, because I love the company.
