House Brand Topical (CMC) Hemostatic Gauze Dressing size: 1.9 x 1.9cm (.75 x.75

This is similar to Surgicel or other hemostatic gauze products. Very easy to use (dip your instrument, a cotton tip applicator, or your finger into saline and you can shape and position without it sticking to you). Two pieces per square. Creates hemostasis very quickly and it coverts to saline and glucose as it breaks down. Works really well to prevent dry sockets and is my preferred alternative to gelfoam these days.

This versatile product has become indispensable in my office. It offers nearly instant control of bleeding and often the patient has no bleeding by the time he or she leaves the office. The pads are somewhat large and we trim the opened piece of cellulose into approx 1/2 inch squares and store them with the surgical setup. I place one of these squares into each root socket, (roll each one up into a cylinder and place with cotton pliers.) For a molar I will occasionally "top off" the dressing with one last square placed over all the others that are in the root openings if the socket is a little deep. I place it dry as it becomes mushy-instantly-when wet. You can condense it with a cotton pliers, a wet cotton-tip applicator, a plugger, etc. and the last piece in a molar can be pushed down with a finger. Cover the socket with a WET (so it won't be sticky) folded 2x2 gauze, and have the patient bite as usual for 20-30 minutes or as needed. This is also a great dry socket prevention. I wouldn't want to practice without it and it is at a great price point!!

We placed the order for the item but instead we received Hemostatic Sponge while for some this might not be an issue for us it definitely is. This was not the item that we order or that was described as the product. We had e-mail and call customer service upon receiving this order and nobody has answered. We contacted customer support as well through the virtual chat and no answer. We have e-mailed the vendor and still no answer. Now we are left with an item that we did not order or wanted and nobody to help with the issue. Overall we can't rate the actual product because of the lack of not having it. However, we can definitely rate the customer service and the lack of communication. Net32 Response: We are sorry that the customer's experience did not meet expectations. Net32 notified LV Dental Supply of the customer's concerns and provided the customer with a prepaid label to return the incorrect product to LV Dental Supply for a full refund. LV Dental has been removed from selling the product. Sincere apologies to the customer for the delay and any inconvenience.

We've had shipments of hemostatic gauze that have worked great, but this shipment we received gelfoam... It's not the same at all...
